About
We got our start on a small saltwater farm in the 1950s, just up the road from our home in New Gloucester, ME on Wolfe’s Neck Farm in Freeport, ME. Pineland Farms Natural Meats was founded on the principles of quality and respect for nature, and a belief that great beef begins with thoughtful stewardship and attention to every detail. We are proud pioneers of ethical practices and, as we’ve expanded over the years, we promise to only work with farmers who also commit to the highest quality of animal welfare and sustainability practices.
Today, we have a network of 150 family farms across the eastern seaboard of the United States, and our humble-pioneering spirit and dedication to delivering the freshest, most consistently delicious meat continues. But what does this really mean?
We ensure our livestock live a stress-free and happy life on well maintained pastures without the use of antibiotics or added growth hormones, ever. The results are more tender and flavorful meat, and that’s why you can expect Beef At Its Best from Pineland.
This commitment to animal welfare isn't just an industry standard for Pineland, it’s a core value. Our dedication to humanely raised, high quality beef means our farmers practice:
- Ethical Treatment from Start to Finish
Every animal raised for our beef is treated with respect and care throughout their lives. - Compliance with Animal Welfare
We are 3rd party audited for our animal welfare standards and we aim to continue to prioritize industry changes and prioritized best practices in ethical treatment. - Quality You Can Taste
Humane treatment not only benefits animals but results in premium-quality products, with a difference you can taste and trust. We promise Beef At Its Best in every bite.
From our farms to your tables, our team works hard to deliver consistently delicious beef. So, whether you are a professional chef, a home cook, or a backyard grill master, you’ll find the healthiest, most delicious choices with us.
